Selling Your Inventory

 buried in excess inventory

Are you trying to free up some cash and finally clear out space in your warehouse?

Are you trying to move some products that you may never use or are only holding on to waiting for a service call?

Are you buried in inventory you can't move?

We can help.

We purchase pretty much all inventory from custom integrators like you.

Things that we look for are new in box, or sometimes open box items, but we have to be selective because some items are hard to test without significant infrastracture. Can we easily test a Crestron Digital Media card without a full Crestron processor and DM switcher setup? Not really. Luckily we have one of those! :) But, in other cases, it can be tough as we don't have a full setup for everything.

If you are looking for a price on your inventory, please call us at 407-504-2479 or you can email us (cistockroomdeals@gmail.com) your inventory list in a spreadsheet (Excel file or online Excel / Google Sheets link), including the following columns:

  • Brand
  • Model Number
  • Quantity
  • Condition (we only buy new unless it's part of a large inventory purchase)

Common brands that we buy include:

  • Crestron
  • Control4
  • AMX
  • Lutron
  • Vantage
  • Monitor Audio
  • B&W
  • Revel
  • Sony
  • Integra
  • Denon
  • Kaleidescape
  • Pakedge
  • URC
  • Savant
  • SnapAV (Luma / Araknis / Triad / Episode...)
  • and many more...

Once we receive the inventory list, we can work from there to determine the price for the full inventory purchase.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: How do you price out a large inventory purchase?

A: We price as high as we reasonably can. We use past selling prices to help us determine what we can pay for your inventory, knowing that we need to make money on it when it sells (after we pay for shipping and credit card fees).

Q: How do I get paid for my inventory?

A: In order to protect both you and our company, we use an escrow service for any bulk inventory purchases. This basically means, that once we agree on a price for your inventory, we send the money to the escrow service, and then you ship the product. Once we receive and inspect the product and it is what was agreed upon, we let the escrow company know to release the funds to you. At a high level, we try not to nitpick. We are looking at quantity and condition of the inventory that we receive from you.

Q: Do you buy used or damaged gear?

A: As a rule of thumb, we do not, but if there's a large inventory purchase where the bulk is new, unopened stock, we will consider purchasing everything and do what we can to test, part out, or repair anything that isn't new.

Q: Do you do consignment?

A: This is something we no longer offer. As great of an idea as it is, we have no control over what the market pays for product, and as much as we’d like to hold on to product until we get the highest price, we can’t. Our warehouse space does have a limit (at least theoretically), and we earn our keep by turning the inventory at a regular interval. So we have to eventually drop prices to sell them and when the sale price goes down, so does your share. In the end it’s a lot more tracking and a lot more disappointment. When then $12,000 Kaleidescape server goes for $400 on eBay and after eBay fees, payment fees, and our share, you only get $180, that’s a tough discussion. Anyway, we had to end this program and moved to a straight purchase model only.
